2006 Shasta District Fair Photos...

Anderson, California opened its arms wide for Curly and Dusty, going so far as to put us on the front page of the Local (or is it 'loco"?) section of the newspaper.  And if that don't give you a warm and fuzzy feeling, then nothin' ever will. The girls of SDF treated us like we were their brothers or something (well...they wouldn't have nothin' to do with me, I mean), and we want to thank big cheese Fair Manager Chris Workman for having the decency to bring us back to Anderson after four long , long years. Thanks also to Debe Hopkins (President of the Chamber Of Commerce...yep, we know people) for not lecturing me too often about things I forget, and for letting me into the dressing room when I might have forgotten something or other...

We just hope they don't wait four more years to bring us back again!

The SDF Class Of 2006

(Note: Pay close attention to Chris ,on the left,  as she ends up riding on the back of Dusty's horse by the second photo...)

The Gate Crew, who we gave a hard time every morning...is 11am morning?

Dusty tries to get a ride with Debe and associates, but has no shot...

Favorite Ice Cream Vendors Of All Time Award goes to these cute gals (who are also friends of ours and onto us). Wayne is probably working, so isn't in the photo...

The Kissing Booth was closed every time we rode by it or up to it...

Just bad timing I suppose....

Rafting will never be the same, since Curly has decided Skunk could be used as a flotation device...

Dusty gets serenaded as he consider riding the Bull...

Budweiser girls! Curly tries to steal a kiss...

No kiss, but she did ride as far as his horse would go...

Two of only a handful of clowns we particularly like...very nice folks, these two. I thought they might adopt Dusty (but nobody's that nice)...

And then they were back where they started...

Shasta District Fair...WestFest 2006!

Maybe they will have a western theme every year!
